Ya-Fan joined Dommisse Attorneys in 2014. He is currently the head of the Company Secretarial Department in our Corporate and Commercial Division, offering a value-added service to clients beyond just the incorporation of a company, to include the handling of the typical day-to-day company secretarial requirements of a company, maintaining of accurate company records, corporate governance issues, drafting of bespoke resolutions, share transactions, and maintaining the company securities and directors’ register, amongst others.
Ya-Fan also assists with specific legal products for our start up clients’ needs. Specifically, Ya-fan and his team are able to offer the much-needed support in the context of closing medium to large investment deals by managing the whole process ranging from the pre-investment due diligence all the way to the implementation of various transactions required to secure the investment pay-out.
Ya-fan also handles the promotional competition portfolio forming part of the Regulatory Team for the overseeing and auditing of various promotional competitions run by our clients to ensure compliance with the Consumer Protection Act.
Ya-fan has a Bachelor of Social Science degree, majoring in psychology and law and an LLB degree from the University of Cape Town.
When he’s is not in the office, Ya-Fan enjoys to exercise, which may include CrossFit, running and hiking the magnificent and wondrous trails in and around Cape Town and surrounds. Ya-fan also enjoys cooking (when he has the time) and to experiment with different international cuisines.
